The Caixa Forum was a small contemporary art museum where I saw a film exhibit entitled "Realism". One piece included light on the ground with projected black shadows making it look like everything produceable by humans was falling from the sky while it rains upwards. Another was a documentary about casting teenagers in Ireland for some film to be made. The teenagers had to act out different emotions. A third room was a film showing an interview of a woman from West Virginia who has a job working at an "old town" where she wore clothing from colonial America. Her spiel is supposed to confuse the viewer as to which is real- her acting or the life it implies? Is she a normal lady from W. Virg with an acting job or is she really a mother from that time period? Same idea with the Irish kid. The only one I immediately enjoyed was a reenactment film where a woman is walking towards a man. There are two screens alongside one another so that you can watch both of their perspectives at the same time. AWESOME.
